ArchiMate initiative

Hi,

I'm interested by getting TOGAF modeling examples. I downloaded Modelio Free Edition and TOGAF Architect extension. I made some diagrams supported by TOGAF but I would like to know how do you position your site and proposed extension to UML regarding the ARCHIMATE initiative that provides a modeling solution to TOGAF?

ARCHIMATE is a rather simple modeling solution that has been defined as a new metamodel.
The Togaf-Modeling approach is to work with modeling standards (UML, BPMN, but also BMM (business motivation metamodel), SysML (which provides input for modeling requirements)) and to add extensions (EAMUS UML profile) where necessary. It supports much ore detailed modeling capacities that ARCHIMATE, and provides a notation.

It is an off the shelf applicable approach, that can be used with any (mature) UML modeling tool.

Though, ARCHIMATE has been studied when defining the EAMUS extensions to make sure that all good ideas are here and to align as much as possible.
